Annoying Gift Box

I made the "Annoying Gift Box"! It looks like a beautiful present with a bow and ribbons, but it's actually a gift box with 20 screws you have to remove to open it! It's like a classic prank gift, some of you have seen it before, some maybe not. I thought it's a cool idea to design one my own! :D

Design Concept

The idea is simple: turn opening a gift into a funny little challenge. The box is styled to look like a perfectly wrapped gift, complete with a ribbon scewed right onto the lid. The lid and the box body are held together by 4 brackets and 20 screws.

Use

Perfect for small gifts, cash, or gift cards.

Great for people who appreciate a good prank or challenge.

Requires the recipient to find a screwdriver and invest some time (and perhaps a little frustration) to finally access the surprise inside!

Printing Tips

I recommend using two different filaments, 1 color for the box, the lid, the screws, and the screwdriver, and 1 color for the brackets and the ribbon (red- gold as example)

- printing the screws a bit stronger with like 4 walls and 30% infill (or more) won't hurt and make them stronger! ;)

Assembly Instructions

You need:

Box (Body/Base) (x1)
Lid (x1)
Brackets (x4)
Ribbon (x1)
Screwdriver (x1)
20 screws + some extra if you loose one, but (optional) (x20)

How to assemble:

place the gift inside the Box.
put on the lid
put on the 4 brackets
screw in all 20 screws
put the small screwdriver into the lid
screw on the ribbon

Designing this model took me about 8 hours of pure work, not included testing, printing, improving it, ... Maybe that doesn't sound like much time, but it definitely is.
