🐉 Design Concept

This dragon head was designed as both a statement piece and a functional accessory for your Xbox setup. The idea was to create something bold that not only holds a controller securely but also looks epic sitting on your console. The design has enough hollow space to allow for mods and customizations, making it a great base model for creative remixes.

🖨 Print details:

Printed with raft and minimal auto tree supports.

The mount is movable and can be attached to any of the four sides of the Xbox, giving flexibility depending on your setup.

Holds a controller securely in place, and can also support a set of headphones.

🎨 Customization & Remixes:

I’d love to see remixes of this design! Imagine printing the horns, teeth, or eyes in different colors for extra flair. Unfortunately, I still need to improve my cutting skills for multi-part objects, but I’m sure many of you can take this further.

Possible upgrade ideas:

🔌 Tongue cable pass-through – drill a hole in the tongue to run a charging cable neatly through the mouth.

💡 LED eyes – the head is hollow enough to allow wiring; drill through the eye sockets and add LEDs for an intimidating glow.

🎨 Multicolor prints – horns, teeth, and eyes could be printed separately in different filaments or painted for added realism.

🎧 Extra use – besides holding the controller, the dragon can also serve as a headphone stand.

🛠 Assembly Instructions

Recommended: Resin printing for best detail + UV curing.

Print the parts – either the one-piece model or the 3-part split version (head, jaw, horns).

Attach the jaw – slot and glue it into the underside of the head.

Attach the horns – align with the sockets on top of the head and secure with resin/UV glue or superglue.

Insert the mount piece – slide the mount into the console slot up to 15mm max. This ensures the dragon sits flush against the Xbox without interfering with airflow.

Optional mods – run cables through the hollow back, add LEDs, or customize with paint/colored filament.

⚙️ Print tested with PLA – came out sturdy and detailed, though resin would give a smoother finish.
