It uses four 8x3mm magnets, which are easy to find online. Super-glue them into the centerpiece and the knob, and you're good to go! (NOTE: This is designed for you to print all of the moving hexagons at once, including the solid center hexagon with the magnets. However, if you encounter gluing problems and need to re-print just the center, there's a center hex only STL available).

Magnet Gluing

Use a small dab of superglue in each magnet socket to hold the magnet in. I recommend the gel-type super glue, I think it's easier to work with and gets better coverage/adhesion. Just make sure you give it plenty of time to cure! An hour should do it.

And mind the polarity when you're gluing in the magnets! I like to glue them into the knob first, making sure than they're oriented the same (North side of each magnet pointing the same way). Then once that's cured, I put the other pair of magnets on the knob ones to get their polarity correct before gluing them into the center hex.

If you screw up and can't get your magnets un-glued, you can print just the knob or center only to re-try with new magnets.
