Design Concept

This is Pascal, the very famous chameleon of Princess Rapunzel!

The concept is that of a beautiful toy for small children, with a generous consistency to avoid swallowing the object, and at the same time, thanks to the hole in the tail, it is a wonderful key ring, which given the generous dimensions of 100x100 mm, will make it impossible to lose your keys. The 4-color object is equipped with refined finishes on the two surfaces that spectacularly depict the clever and friendly image of Pascal.

Usages

It can be used as a toy for small children, in perfect safety thanks to its generous dimensions that will protect the child from ingesting the toy, it can also be a key ring thanks to the hole on the tail, and finally it can also be an excellent decorative object or base for glasses, which you can obtain by eliminating the cylindrical modifier from the slicer to create the hole that makes it a key ring.

Print Recommendations

This object, although it seems simple, was a challenge to print it with such an aesthetic impact.

I have set up the printing parameters for you, saving you dozens of tests and waste of filament.

The first thing you will have to pay maximum attention to is the perfect calibration of the plate, and the perfect calibration of the flow of the 4 filaments, and if possible also of the pressure advance.

To obtain a perfect smooth upper surface, you will have to set the upper layer width between 0.2 and 0.25, the overlap of the upper infill to 30% and the speed of the upper surface must be very slow, i.e. 20mm/s. Then set 8 layers for the upper shell.

Another fundamental thing is the correct printing sequence of the filaments that I have set for you on the settings of the plate, as you can see from the screenshot

Fixed layer height 0.12

Top layer width 0.2 or 0.25 maximum

Top solid infill overlap 30%

Top surface speed 20mm/s

Top and bottom flow lower than the base flow

Pay attention to the printing sequence of the filaments on the bed, level the bed perfectly, and calibrate the flow perfectly

Assembly instructions

If you want to use it as a keychain, use the hole on the tail to insert the steel ring.

If you want to use it as a toy for children, you can do so without it being of such a size as to avoid ingestion.

If you want to use it as a coaster, remove the boolean cylindrical modifier from the slicer that creates the hole on the tail
