Bowl designed for snacks with shells or small pits—like olives, cherries, or nuts. Place the printed bowl on top of a standard bowl; the inner cutout lets you drop shells or pits into the space, which then fall into the bowl underneath. Sized for the common IKEA 14 cm diameter bowl, but it can be adapted to similar bowls by scaling.

To fit other bowls, scale the printed bowl and the support in X and Y only (do not scale Z), applying the same scale factor to both parts so they glue together correctly. Leave at least 0.4–1.0 mm of extra inner diameter for comfortable clearance. Both the bowl and the support include an angled mating cut to help with alignment during gluing.

Recommended Print Settings (FDM)

- No supports required. This is a two-part print that needs to be glued together.

- High strength is not necessary; you can reduce wall/perimeter count and infill to save material and time.

- Layer height: 0.20 mm works, but 0.16 mm or 0.12 mm is recommended for cleaner chamfers and a smoother finish.

- Surface texture: You may enable a “fuzzy skin”/rough finish for aesthetics, but use a modifier to exclude the glue surfaces so they remain flat for proper adhesion.

Notes on Fit and Scaling

- Designed for a 14 cm diameter IKEA bowl.

- For other bowls, scale X and Y (not Z) for both parts equally.

- Keep 0.4–1.0 mm extra on the internal diameter to avoid an overly tight fit.

- Angled cut on both parts assists with alignment when gluing.
