If like me you think the ender 5 max enclosure is dumb and your tired of lifting off the top to get access to the extruder then this is your solution. just screw the print together and fix it in place instead of the front acrylic sheet included with the enclosure.

can print with or without window and light cover all files included. (printed on ender 5 max)

this print uses magnets, brass inserts, bolts and super glue. see further down for parts required

the left side panel is fitted with the bolts already provided with the ender 5 max enclosure the right side holds its self in place using magnets. i used magnets in my print to hold the right side in place however im sure it will be fine to use without magnets if you so choose although i would suggest using the magnets because of when the printer is running at high speeds.

for those who want the window the size of the window is 100mm x 283mm

optional window and optional light cover, i would suggest using the 3mf files i have provided as the pause and the modifiers will be already loaded in.

for those who don't know what modifiers are the yellow cylinders in the 3mf files are not apart of the print they simply increase the infill around the bolt holes to make that part of the print stronger.

print settings:

filament used: black Esun PLA

printed at 0.2mm layer height

infil 10% "modifiers included in the 3mf files change the infil around the bolt holes to 50%

pause included at layer 9 in the 3mf files 1 layer before the magnets are sealed in (please check and alter for your own printer)

at the pause this is when i glued in the magnets "others prefer to make really tight gaps for magnets so they don't come out i prefer to glue in the magnets so they don't come out" at the pause is when i also insert the acrylic sheets for the window again gluing them in place i applied the glue after inserting the acrylic sheets to reduce the risk of super glue on the print bed i also placed TEMPORARY magnets to hold the acrylic in place while applying glue and waiting for it to dry as thin acrylic tends to bow at high temperatures. IF YOU CHOOSE TO HOLD THE ACRYLIC IN PLACE WITH MAGNETS WHILE APPLYING GLUE ONCE DRY REMOVE BEFORE CONTINUING PRINT.

M3 x6mm bolts for the hinges: link is no longer visible so i cannot list it here however any m3 x 6mm bolts will be fine.

the bolts specified for this project can be longer than specified it makes no difference to the functionality of the door.
