The image for this model came from a Creative Commons licensed coloring book image that I then layered to create a 3D layered effect in the coaster. I printed this in multiple parts so that I could print the background of the logo with no top layer allowing condensation to drip into pours instead of pooling around base of cup.

I’ve been a Bears fan for almost 40 years and I needed a coaster for my desk that showed my team spirit so I put this Chicago Bears Logo coaster together. I created the base to be stackable set that allows for multiple coasters that can also be individualized (see my Cheshire Cat Coaster). Keep your eyes out for future coasters as I plan an creating more Chicago Bears designs, a Harry Potter set, a Mario Brothers set, Action Hero’s (I.e., Captain America, Spider Man, Batman, Joker), other NFL Teams (i.e., San Francisco 49ers, NY Giants, Seattle Seahawks, Pittsburg Steelers), MLB Teams (i.e., NY Yankees, LA Dodgers, Oakland A’s), Seattle Kraken, University Teams (i.e., University of New Mexico Lobos, Oregon State University Beavers), and who knows what else.

So, I’ve always hated when a cup sits and the condensation puddles up around the bottom causing the paper cup to become or weak or water drips on my shirt when I go to get a drink. That is why I tried to create a coaster that would separate the condensation or drips from the base of the cup by using zero bottom and top fill layers a 25% honeycomb pattern infill for this coaster. My wife does not like the open infill look on her Cheshire Cat coaster so it is closed top and bottom layers. I say because everybody has their own taste so be creative.
