BubbleCore – Support-Free Bubble Bong

Design Overview

BubbleCore is a fully 3D printable, support-free bong inspired by the classic bubble-bottom glass design. The spherical base promotes smooth airflow and stable water volume while maintaining a compact footprint on the print bed and desk. The geometry is carefully modeled to print cleanly on FDM machines without internal supports, making it reliable even for hobby-grade printers.

This model prioritizes simplicity, strength, and printability while preserving the recognizable aesthetic of traditional glass pieces.

Intended Use

Designed for makers who want a functional print that doesn’t sacrifice appearance or usability. BubbleCore works well as a display piece, prototype, or novelty functional print. If used functionally, users should understand the limitations of common 3D printing materials.

Printing Recommendations

Supports: None required

Layer Height: 0.2mm or finer for smoother curves

Infill: doesn't really matter but I kept mine default 15%

Material: PLA+ for ease, PETG for better water resistance

Wall Thickness: 2 perimeters recommended

Avoid resin printing for functional use due to material safety and heat concerns.

Post-Processing & Care

Rinse thoroughly after printing to remove debris. Light sanding or vapor smoothing (material dependent) can improve surface finish and water flow. Always ensure the print is fully sealed before any functional use.
