This is a Cable reel from a recycled Sunlu Spool.

On my Work i need to do Earthing and Equipotential measurements, for which i need long wires to measure it. This is a way to store the wire safely and efficient. Of course there is the possibility to just buy a specialized measurement cable reel, but this will cost way more than manufacturing a selmade one. This setup will work really well with Fluke Installation Tester. For other brands you might need to test it first.

So: What parts will you need to build this ?

* M8 Threaded Rod : About 15 cm

* M8x40 Allen Key Bolts : 7 Pieces

* M8x60 Hex Bolts : 1 Piece

* M8 Washers : 4 Pieces

* M8 Nuts : 13 Pieces

* 608 Bearings : 4 Pieces preferably

* Wago 221-603 : 1 Piece

* flexible isolated wire with maximum of 6 mm^2 or 10 awg size with one fitting Cable terminal.

* Velcro zip ties 8 mm size: the amount depends on your preference . i suggest at least 2

you can skip the bearings for the handle and instead print Bearing Dummies for it, but i like to use bearings because i want my build to last. But you do you :)

For the assembly it should not bee too hard, but if you need instructions for that, then i can upload those aswell, if the Request for that is there.

I included a place where you can store the open wire end inside the wago terminal. there are also threads to fix this wire with velcro zip ties so rolling the wire up is easier.

with the V5 Pieces there are following changes :

Note : These changes for now are experimental and i will test them soon. After their functionality has been confirmed, the note will be deleted.

* Now the reel features a cable guide on one of its feet. so Rolling up the Cable is much easier

* There is now a slot to put the end of the Wire for better storage

* The holes for the Zipties have been increased in size, so its easier to fit them.

* The Place for the Wago connector now has flexing pegs, so it shouldnt fly out

* I added the possibility to add an allen Key bolt to block the reel from spinnin, so it remains without tangles.

* this one is not big, but worth mentioning : The angles of the connecting pegs have been rounded for less material consumption and smoother cable guiding
