Simple and Effective Solution for Stability of the K1, K1c, or K1 Max

This is a simple and effective way to maintain the original look and functionality of your K1, K1c, or K1 Max. By using a simple spacer between the feet, you can ensure stability and precision in your setup.

The spacer can be easily secured to the machine with an M3 screw of the correct size or attached directly to the machine without a screw. You can also use thin double-sided tape, depending on your preference. Both options are not necessarily required; my machine stands just fine without tape or screws. This approach avoids the complexity of other solutions, which I found unnecessarily complicated, especially for beginners in 3D printing.

Process

1. Starting Point: First, place 1 mm feet under all four corners of the machine.

2. Check the Balance: Check each foot individually to determine if additional space is needed to balance the machine perfectly.

3. Adjust the Height: If needed, add longer spacers. Determine how many millimeters extra are required, and then print the necessary spacers.

4. Check the Level: Make sure the machine is properly leveled.

My surface where the machine stood was not entirely flat, and I suspect many others have the same issue. That’s why I came up with this solution. It's a simple way to compensate for uneven surfaces.

Why Stability Is Important

For me, it’s not just about a perfectly aligned print bed. It's also crucial that the machine itself is straight and stable. A well-aligned machine:

Reduces vibrations and wear.

Increases the lifespan of the device.

Ensures that the machine doesn’t slide as much. Sliding may still occur, but I have another solution for that, which can be found on my main page.
