Design Concept

Creality Model K2 Plus Riser with Dome Top Feed is designed to raise the printer enclosure while integrating a dome-style top filament feed, providing improved filament routing, reduced drag, and cleaner top-entry feeding. This model is intended for 3D printing and workshop use, making it easier and more reliable to run filament from above while accommodating taller internal clearances and accessories. It has the ability to feed from the CFS, Space Pi plus dryer or standard spool.

Purpose

This design is specifically intended to increase vertical clearance on the Creality K2 Plus while enabling a smooth top-mounted filament feed path. It offers improved filament guidance, structural stability, and modular compatibility, making it suitable for long prints, specialty filaments, and enclosed printing environment.

The reduced drag and smooth feed allow printing with softer filaments.

Printing Recommendations

Material: PETG recommended for durability and heat resistance (PLA acceptable for non-enclosed or cooler environments)
Layer Height: 0.2 mm for a balance of detail and speed
Infill: 20–40% depending on desired rigidity
Walls/Perimeters: 3–4 for added structural strength
Supports: None required
Orientation: Print flat for best strength and surface finish

Assembly Instructions

Ensure all printed parts fit together correctly before final assembly.Attach the riser securely to the top frame of the Creality K2 Plus, ensuring proper alignment with the enclosure edges.

Assemble the four top covers and attach the dome. I added four screws in the couriers to attach the top to the riser.

A hole must be drilled in the center of the dome to allow filament feed tube access. Assemble the feed frame structure to the riser and route the filament through the dome top feed before final tightening. “O” rings can are used to hold the tube in place.Verify stability and smooth filament movement prior to printing.

Use Notes

Designed for personal, workshop, and DIY use
Test filament routing before long prints
Ensure the dome feed is free of sharp edges or obstructions
Ensure the Bowden feed tube from the CFS, dryer or spool are routed without sharp turns.
