I am a huge lover of board games and have recently been interested in 3d printing I have tried some small designs that I feel aren't good enough for sharing. But have tinkered around and fully interested in learning the art. So when the board game design contest launched. I was super excited.

I am currently printing the game but have run into a few problems. as I am still a novice. pla snapping due to kink and bed levelling issues. plus design complications. but i feel this project has taught me a lot. I only use a creality ender 3 v1. which I love and am super impressed on some of the models i have printed and am excited for what i can achieve in the future when I eventuality upgrade. I hope to have it complete before the end deadline but wanted to upload were I'm up to so far.

I have lots of ideas for the game I have designed in terms of expansions and enhanced game play options and hope to 'prettify' it. in the future. I have designed this my self from scratch using tinkercad.com and have written the rules. With the knowledge of years of gaming through hundreds of board games I have played. Through various degrees of difficulty. And themes.

I have aimed on a fun, skilful game with an exciting story and theme to guide imagination. With use of game mechanics to add strategy and luck. Although the design may seem simple I'm especially proud of the meeples and first player marker. And fully intend on painting the final product.

you may just use the game as a simple flip a coin in to the well but i have set a side some rules and theme for more exciting and strategical game play

Leprechauns at the Wishing well - the power coin battles rules

Have you ever wondered what happens to your coins in a wishing well. And if your wishes will ever come true.

Well since time began leprechauns would go round stealing gold and money from where ever they could. With there small size and magic ability this was a doddle for the little fellows. This made a bad name for the leprechauns so the leprechauns council ruled over the land and insisted that they use there magic for good, and only coins left lying were allowed to be taken.

This lead them to the wishing Wells However with the power of a wish connected to the coin, it was not possible to grant all wishes. So the coin flip battles were born.

To stop the leprechauns competing to often it was written that only on the appearance of a rainbow could they compete and may hide there winnings in the magical power of that rainbow. And the winner of the games would grant the wishes of the there collected coins. Thereby earn status of true greatness across the land.

Although the losing leprechauns would still get to keep there coins, they are unable to grant the wishes and bring great shame upon there family.

In leprechauns at the Wishing well you play the part of a leprechaun and a rainbow has just appeared so let the battles commence.

The type and strength of the wish connected to the coin grants certain powers to the coins, that effect gameplay and scoring. Powers are explained below

The end of game is triggerd once at least 1 leprechaun has scored 20 points. And the current round is complete.

Tossing a coin into the well scores a point and grants the power of the coin. A scored coin is kept by that player. Each type of power coin gains 3 points ( star coin gains 7 points) for the player who holds the majority of stars. At the end of the game Ties for majority score 1 point each.

Then add these scores to there position on the path of well-th the player with the highest score wins. In the case of a tie the player who has the most four leaf clovers wins if still a tie the player who collected the first four leaf clover wins.

If no clovers were colecTed the player with the most majorities wins and then the most coins. If still a draw players share the victory.

SETUP

To set up the game place the scoring track - the path of well-th in the center of the play area and place the wishing well in the center.

Place all the coins (not the '3'coins. Please see powers of tokens below. Place these to the side of the play area for end of game scoring) a non see through bag if you have one. Or face down and shuffled if you dont

Place the bucket to the side of the play area and randomly place 5 coins in the bucket. These coins or out of play for now.

Each player takes a grass line and places it at an equal distance from the well we recommend usind 12 coins in row to determine distance. If your play area allows. As long as the distance for each player is equal. Or for a more challenging game further a away or closer if you would like an easier game.

Take a meeple in your colour (a large and a small meeple if playing with the 3 point coins) and place it the small meeple if 3point coins are in play.) on the zero space on the path of well-th.

And finally. Give the first player token to the player who most recently achieved a wish or dream. Alternatively the youngest player or any way you choose.

You are now ready to play

round setup

At the start of each round draw coins and place them face up equal to amount of players plus one so in a 3 player game you would draw 4 coins.

Continue until all players have picked a coin.

Then beginning with the first player attempt to throw your coin in to well from behind the grass line. Powers are activated if you land your coin in the well (with the exception of the lightning coin please see powers of coins below.)

You also score 1 point for every coin landed in the well and you take that coin back and keep it for end of game scoring. Take note if you are the first player to take a four leaf - clover see power of coins below.

If you miss and the coin lands face up take the coin but don't activate its power and don't score a point.

If you miss and it lands face down put the coin in the bucket your turn is over

Once every player has taken a turn. The round is over. Place the spare coin, if still available, in the bucket. Pass the first player token to the left and start a new round.

Alternate rules - if the player misses and the coin lands face up. Instead of taking the coin you may choose to take another shot with that coin. However if you get in the well on second shot you do not get to activate the power. Keep the coin and score a point. But if you miss again regardless of how it lands you place the coin in the bucket your turn is over.

In the unlikely event there are no coins left to draw empty the bucket into the bag or face down pile. If no coins are available and no one has scored 20 points proceed to end of game scoring.

- Lightning instant effect you may remove the roof from the well before taking your shot..

(alternate rule-before taking your shot flip the coin. if it lands face up knock 2 points of 1 player . and take your shot as normal. if scored only gain 1 point.

with no further power- if it lands face down take your shot as normal but if scored take 1 point of all players.

you dont score any points)

- Four leaf clover the player with majority of this coin wins draws (in the case of a tie the player who won the first clover)

- Bucket take upto 2 coins from the bucket if there is any and add them to your majority colections

- X2 score 2 points when scoring this coin

- ! Steal your point from another player.

Note a player can never go below zero

- ? Wild power. Announce power before taking your shot.? Are there own majority.

- Star coins are only worth 1 point. They do not have a power but score 7 points for majority tokens

- Grass coin move your grass line a coin width closer. Grass lines stay there and

can be moved again if another grass coin is scored.

- Meeple coin if scored take another turn after this one. You may choose the spare coin or pick one from the bucket or draw one at random from the bag

---The '3' coins are intended for awarding the majority at the end of the game. However you may add them to play for 3 points scoring. If you do use the small meeple for scoring. And when adding majority scores use the large meeple to indicate. 20 plus points. ( be sure to skip the zero space

Things to consider

When selecting the files

The well has been designed in 2 sections. The roof and the main well. The roof will fit on to the posts. And is removable if you wish to glue it in place. If you do, you do not need the lightning coins. (or design an alternative power for those coins) . We recommend using the medium models. And the roof should be orientated to minimise support.

We have included a larger well for an easier game. But please be aware of the size and print volume.

2 score track are included and the thicker one works best but a thin one has been included. To save printing time and costs.

Note that both score tracks fit around the medium well.

However you can use the center of the score track to place the face down coins. In the center you may do this for the medium well if you find your aim is quite so good and you keep knocking down the meeples.

We recommend for a 2 and 3 player game using 5 of each coin and 7 of each for four and five player colours.

However it will be your game so you might find for different games only using 5 powers is nesasary 15 coins in total per player should be enough. But feel free to do what suits you.

We have included a file for each coin individually so it's easier to print what you need or replace lost coins.

Note there is a file to print 1 of each coin all at once.

Be sure to print the meeples in different colours.

We find that the coins printing the coins in gold and silver looks best but be sure to print equal amounts of each power coin in both colours so they can't be identified when face down. If using a bag feel free to print each type in a different colour so the are easily identified for the of game
