Background:

Home Depot has the red Husky 5-gallon storage containers that are popular among creators hobbyists to store their filaments.. BUT it's only IP65, not water tight, and certainly not airtight. Not suitable for actual long term storage.

Lowes -

Lowe's has a blue Kobalt 5-gallon storage container equivalent which I will link below. But it's better in that it is actually IP68; airtight and watertight. It's a dream for cheap airtight long term filament storage, except that THE SIDE LATCHING SYSTEM IS HORRENDOUS!

The Fix for the perfect container:

I created a 3D model that is meant to be super-glued to the lids - allowing the side latches to easily slip onto the lid and fix the horrible side-latch issues. Preferably printed with PETG since it's a very smooth slippery filament and easy to print with.
