Logitech Driving Force Synchronized Shifter for G29/G920

Design Concept: I’m super excited to share this one. This was the whole reason I wanted a 3d printer. I don’t know why it took me this long to finally make it.

Synchronized shifters for sim racing get very expensive. If you aren’t willing to spend thousands on your setup than you probably have wanted a way to modify your current setup. Here it is!

Design Info:

The design is fairly straight forward you have to spring loaded sliders on rails with stoppers. Push shifter forward or backward let go and shaft resets to center. There is some assembly required but I would like to say it is a very beginner friendly project. Re-use all the factory screws as well as the need for a few additional parts (most of them you probably already have).

Assembly:

1. Cut the stainless steel tube into two 78mm lengths

2. Print model and remove supports

3. Attach .7*7*20 15mm compression springs to the sliders

4. Using the factory screws attach the “Base Plate” to the shifter

5. Set your “Solder Pen or Heat Sinker” to 150°C or 350°F

6. Press the M3 8x5 brass insert into the 4 mount holes.

1. They should press in just enough to give a good start.

7. Press the inserts with “Soldering pen or Heat Sinker”

8. Place on stainless tube in place on the base plate

9. Place the slider on the tube (one on each side of the shifter and align the spring into the hole on each side.

1. Make sure the angle is \ | / angle should be going away from shifter.

10. Place the second stainless tube in place.

11. Put the Face Plate over the top (+) side at the back.

12. Use the four M3x20 bolts to mount the face plate to the base. ( Should be snug and flush with faceplate)

13. Pop on shift knob and screw in with factory screw.

14. Go into your game and change the settings for “shift up” & “shift down”

15. Enjoy!!!!
