Designed a simple refill spool adaptor for carboard spools ♻️

Instead of reprinting a full spool, this lets you reuse your old cardboard wheel/core and clip on an adaptor to hold refill filament. Saves material, time, and waste. Other full spool designs range about 400g-1000g per design...

Why it’s useful:

Only ~40g of filament +7g forn supports (one set)
Prints in under 2 hours
Reusable design
Much more efficient than printing a full spool

Rip the sides off carton spool
Insert adaptor on the sides of carboard spool. (2 sides)
twist the adaptor to lock
Push into refill core
cut and remove the plastic that keeps refill together
