The reusable universal NFC tag system for spools is crafted for efficiency and modularity. Its core design ensures compatibility with different spool formats while maintaining ease of access and user-friendliness.

Purpose

Designed to hold and protect NFC tags, this setup enables users to effectively track, categorize, and update their filament spools in an organized manner. Fits all spools I have tried on from temu to sunlu.

Printing Recommendations

Use PLA or ABS or PETG with a standard resolution for the best detail and strength. A 20% infill is recommended to ensure durability without wasting material, but standard settings work a treat. I have found that different materials needs you to scale male or female end by a % or 2

Assembly Instructions

Simply slot the NFC tag into the designated area inside the holder, ensuring it fits snugly. Attach the system to the spool hub covered by the appropriate adapter ring. Case is print in place by will be a bit to open and close the first few times.

I made a case as I like to have a different tag for each colour and material type.

These tags also work with my universal spool/protector adapter, so with these 2 models you have max flexibility and ease of use.
