After ordering and receiving the Creality Pi Plus filament dryer, I ran into some issues with the current setup on my K1, which needed to be adressed for it to be suitable for my intended usage.

One of those issues was the position of the runout sensor. For me to be able to print straight out of the Pi I'd need to find a new location for the sensor to ensure smooth filament feeding. The only place that I could think of was inside. So, since I'm using the

I decided to design a adapter mounting bracket which would slot in to the grates of the Raiser. The lenght of the wiring for the sensor wasn't sufficient for the sensor to be placed facing forward, as that would leave the connector on the top side of the sensor and it just wouldn't reach. Not having an extension cord laying around, I decided to rotate it 180 degrees around it's X-axis. The clamp on the sensor isn't centered dept-wise so there's a 2,5mm offset on the inner side, meaning this design can only be used when you place the sensor facing backwards!

Printed in PLA, 0,2mm, 15% infill, with supports for the offset piece of the bottom

Hardware required: 2x M3x45 or M3x50 with plain washers and locknuts

- For the bracket to fit the back-right slider needs to be removed.

- The PTFE-tube between the Pi and sensor needs to be secured on the sensor-side before mounting anything! It's a thight fit!

-Feed the PTFE tube through the middle of the farthest three grates on the righthand side of the Raiser and connect PI side of the tube.

- Place the sensor (facing backwards) on the bracket, insert the two m3x45 or m3x50 screws through both sensor and bracket and push trough the grates in the Raiser.

(if doing above results in you not being able to push the bracket in the Raiser: you'll need to mount the sensor first, but getting the retainer clip fitted between the sensor and Raiser can be a pain.. I'll find some time to get around to working on a V1.1 to fix that flaw, and maybe do a front-facing-sensor version as well)

- The screws need to be secured with m3 plain washers and locknuts on the backside of the Raiser.

- The screws for the clamp can be re-used.

- Be sure to guide the wiring for the sensor in a way that it's clear from any moving parts!
