Design Concept

The Stevenson screen is designed to house meteorological instruments for measuring local environmental data such as temperature and humidity. Its design features louvered walls to enable air flow while protecting instruments from direct sunlight and precipitation.

Application

Ideal for home weather station enthusiasts, this screen can safely house instruments like thermometers and hygrometers. It's an educational and functional piece for those interested in understanding local climate conditions. It's made to fit a commercial, off the shelv temperature/humidity outdoor sensor of a cheap weather station. Printing Tips

For optimal strength and durability, use a material like ABS or PETG preferably in white. As the whole construction is pretty light you can go light on wall stength and infill. All Parts are oriented ready to print and can be printed without supports. You need 8 pieces of the part "Lamellen". On a 22cm Print bed you can place two lamellen parts at the same time.

Assembly Instructions

Place the sensor on the hook in the base. Start stacking the 8 Lamellen, make sure they slot into each other nicely. Place the Roof last (might need some finagling with pliers to get the cutouts right). Finally screw the hook into the hole at the top. It's recommended to place hang the sensor 2m above ground over grassy ground and at least 2m from the next wall to get the most precise measurements.
