Printed in Ender-PLA using a K1C. In this case, we will use the 0.20mm preset for the K1C. The print takes just over 35 minutes to complete.

The following settings were changed in Creality Print from the default options.

Quality

Ironing Type: All top surfaces

This will give a nice flat and even finish to our print on the surface making it resemble more a plastic injection print from a mold rather a 3D printed model.

Strength

Sparce infill density: 5%

Sparce infill pattern: 3D Honeycomb

This print will only experience loads from the top (egg resting on it), so all we have to worry about is that there is adequate strength for the area where the egg will rest. To do this and save as much filament as possible, we use 3D honeycomb for the infill pattern at 5%, which will give the whole print some extra support in case it is needed in addition to the 2 walls it already has.

Speed

First layer: 30 mm/s

First layer infill: 50 mm/s

Initial layer travel speed: 50%

This is the number of top interface layers: 4

By reducing the initial layer (the first four layers to be precise) print speed, we ensure that the first layer adheres optimally to the print bed.

Other

Brim type: No-brim

There are no bed adhesion concerns with this print.
