Rotating platform prototype using reduction gears (~1:10) and a bearing-supported output driven by a NEMA-style motor. Designed for low wobble, axial stability, and mechanical experimentation.

Motor:

• ≥ 0.4 N·m torque recommended (accounts for gear reduction and friction)

Materials / Print Notes:

• Designed and tested in PLA

• Suitable for low-speed, low-duty-cycle operation

• Higher loads or continuous use may require PETG or nylon

• Deep-groove ball bearing

• 30 mm OD / 10 mm ID / 5 mm width

• bb gun round .177 cal 4.5mm bearings

Main Bearing:

• Deep-groove ball bearing

• 30 mm OD / 10 mm ID / 5 mm width

• Common, widely available (ZZ or 2RS recommended)

• Bearing quality directly affects smoothness, noise, and life

Shaft Sheath (Printed, Prototype Feature):

• Printed low-speed radial guide — not a true bearing

• Provides alignment and minor vibration damping

• Main bearing carries the load

• Light lubrication recommended

Refined gearsets and production-grade versions planned this is only my proof of concept. working on a rotating platform for photography. most likely will upgrade to belts if gears are too choppy.
