My Samsung Galaxy7 Watch keeps getting damaged when doing DIY, gardening and manual work. It gets bashed and the bevel around the edge of the screen gets scratched (see close up watch picture). The screen seems to be fine with impacts, but the bevel around the edge shows white where it gets scratched. Rather than stop wearing the watch when working I created this design to protect the watch from damage on the edges and to some extent the screen. The screen and full watch functions remain usable.

Design

The watch protector overhangs the edges and is raised from the screen by a few millimeters which provides scrape and scratch protection to the edges and the screen. It wont protect the watch screen from sharp direct impact, however the screen is still exposed so that the watch touch screen can be fully used.

Easy Install - Temporary Wear

The assembled Watch Protector is designed to be easily installed on the watch before any activity that has potential to damage the watch and then easily taken off afterwards. The Watch Protector is not uncomfortable so can be worn constantly. Assembly and install detailed information is available the instructions files and illustrated in the provided model images.

Easy Print - Disposable Design

The low number of print layers mean the printing time is approximately 10 minutes. If the Watch Protector is damaged in use (rather than the watch itself) it has done its job and can be replaced with a new one. The Watch Protector retaining loops are designed to be thin to aid install, prevent any discomfort when wearing rather than for long term strength. It is a good idea to print a few Watch Protectors to have them available before any manual work, and in case one is damaged while working.

Printing

The Watch Protector is in two parts, each in a separate plate in the attached print settings:

Plate 1) Watch Protector - Printed in TPU so it is flexible to allow install on the watch, provide impact absorption, and a soft interface to the watch itself.

Plate 2) Watch Protector Structure - A small beveled ring printed in PLA, to provide structure to the TPU Watch Protector, allowing it to fit correctly. The structure also to provides protection from harder bashes and scrapes.
