I remixed the model from "Robertoo" on Printables. His model was awesome in theory, but unfrotunaltely my pneumatic fitting on my extruder cover still ended up failing in the middle of a print. My bowden tube was flopping all over the place with exposed filament outside of the tube and still feeding into the print head. It could have been a disaster, but thankfully it wasn't. However, his design ultimately led to this. I have been using this for a few weeks now and no issues at all. I also know that if the fitting fails, I can just take the broken one off and put on a new one. I can also still use the shell cover which, imho, is a great bonus.

I added a PC4 M10 fitting to fix the dreaded extruder cover that we have all encountered. If you haven't encountered it yet, knock on wood, and hope it will never happen. Murphy says otherwise, and I can't stand how often he gets it right.

This replaces the cable chain cap on top of your printhead assembly. Three screws hold the original cap in place and this is a direct replacement. Just remove the three screws and replace the original cable chain cap with this. You can leave your original extruder cover on and still use your shell cover. Just a few things to pay attention to...

1. If you have a working fitting on your extruder cover and you use this, you will have a hard time removing the bowden tube, if you ever need to.

2. Do not pull out the plastic insert in the fitting on your extruder. It will act as an extra guide for your bowden tube. If you remove this, your filament will jam in this area causing print errors. Make sure your bowden tube is fully seated in your extruder cover.

3. I remixed this model, "https://www.**********.com/model/1211984-creality-k2-plus-cable-chain-cover-with-tube-holde". Without his model this would not exist.

4. Print upside down. I used supports, with PLA you might not have to. I printed mine in ASA, probably overkill but I wanted peace of mind. I believe Robertoo used PLA for his original model.

Print and never have to worry about your extruder fitting again. The main reason why I remixed this is because I still wanted to be able to use the original shell cover, or a personal one that I will eventually make.

This is the very first remix model or print of any type i have submitted. Even if only one person finds this useful, I achieved my goal.
