Pretty cool time lapse of a cable reel assembly on my K1, almost that fast in real time lol no I’m kidding but this K1 is FAST! It produces fine, extremely high quality models, don’t go by what the YouTube paid haters say about this machine. It genuinely delivers what it’s advertised and marketed to be. It’s all about fine tuning your slicers, whether you use Creality, Cura, Bamboo, etc, you have to experiment with a new machine, and honestly it really didn’t take much tweaking and fine tuning. I use what I call reasonable settings, for example I don’t try to print out a precision model at 600mm with all 3 cooling fans running 100%, if it’s a uniformly shaped model, then maybe 300mm, 50% speed on my nozzle fan and auxiliary fan I keep at around 25-40% depending on filament, also at these high speeds I bump my temp up a bit. For example I go 225° with PLA, 65-70° bed, then I use a 90-100% variable flow rate depending on the size of certain details of the model. I’m no professional by any stretch of the imagination just sharing my experience and settings that work best for me. I would only change 1 thing about this printer, and that is the print bed mat that’s included with it. It’s terrible. I peeled the magnetic mat off my ender 3, slapped it in the K1, ran the input shaping and auto level (takes about 10 mins) and I haven’t needed to use a glue stick since. The included mat is way too smooth. Anyways just my thoughts on my new K1 machine, I’ve had it for a few weeks now and it’s been going nearly non stop and it’s been a great addition to my shop. I would love to see an add-on LiDAR Scanner become available which is supposedly in the works, but honestly I haven’t had an issue without it. I am getting the K1 Max next, mainly due to its larger print area. I got the “AI” camera add on which was to say bluntly, disappointing when I first got it, it’s so tiny and was a pain in the a$$ to mount in this fixed position I’m not really to happy with. I recorded this time lapse with it, but it just has such a silly fixed angle on the bed. I’ve already started a new project on Shapr3D for an adjustable mount so I’ll share when I finish it for everyone else to try. Anyways I didn’t start this post and intend to write so much, but if you took the time to read it, thank you.. ok sleepy time! Be safe, and be kind to each other. -WW
