Introducing the newest model from my CAD team- The Hackpad

Fully custom, from PCB to the SCH design, personally manufactured just for us!

Started in June-July, we had always wanted a custom macropad just for us!

As a result, we made many prototypes of PCBS, adding a total cost of $200 for prototyping.

We then made a final PCB design, sent it to JLC PCB for manufacturing, and got it within weeks in August. We then put everything together with new tools such as our new Heat set insert press (FULLY 3D PRINTED) which is also participating in the tech contest.

After inserting our heat set inserts, we moved onto the Software part of the project. We downloaded and installed Arduino IDE and got right to coding, we were able to finish on August 23rd, 2025.

Several days later, we discovered this great tech contest, hosted by Creality Cloud!

As our team members have 6+ World 3D modeling Contest 1st place experience, we gladly entered our new project in the contest, hoping for the best. I am excited to what you all will create and happy printing and making!

Ordering your parts:

Most of these items can be ordered on Aliexpress for a cheap price.

However, quality tools such as Soldering iron and PCB (custom) need to be purchased at specific stores.

My recommendation:

For the soldering iron, I suggest Pinecil 64 Bit soldering iron, known for its quality and consistency (I use it)

For the PCB, I personally recommend the pcb services from JLC PCB, as they have quick shipping with reasonable prices.
