Hey all you 3D printing geniuses! I posted a video of my unboxing of the Creality Falcon 1.6W Laser Module that can be added to basically any Ender 3 printer. This makes it possible to turn your printer into a laser engraver at a fraction of the cost of buying a full on Falcon machine. Hopefully my video has helped a few people and a couple of you have asked what the next stage is and how to set the laser up. Well, I've made another video using my limited video creation skills and this one shows the next stage of adding the module to my old Ender 3 Pro. As you'll see from the video, my trusty Ender has had some mods and a few upgrades but this is the machine that I like to use to test out new tech before I decide whether to add it onto one of my newer machines. The one problem I hit was that I'd already added a Spider extruder to the Ender which meant that it had a different mount and fan housing. This caused a bit of an issue with attaching the laser's mounting plate but I managed to "MacGuyver" it and it seems to be OK. The nest stage will be to actually use the laser and I'll be showing you how to do that, which software to use and some example projects in my next video. My videos aren't the greatest I'm afraid as that's not my area of expertise so please bear that in mind when you're watching!
