Lifting the lid on the Creality K1 Max with the 10mm Riser by @Rvoyum The K1 Max is a fabulous machine but the outer case could do with being a little bit taller so it clears the print head, chain and bowden tube. There are a few riser mods out there for the K1 and K1 Max but I didn't need it to be too tall and this 10mm riser was the perfect height for what I wanted. I printed mine in Eryone Grey PETG as I wanted it to be a strong filament to take the weight of the heavy glass lid. Printed on one of my K1 Maxes. You will need supports for the corners. I used tree supports in Creality Print and they gave a good finish on the overhangs and are very easy to remove, see images. The tree supports are set to 5% infill so they are even esier to remove and the model infill is set at 20%. The parts fit together well but could maybe be a bit tighter on the joins but otherwise it does what it says on the tin. I might modify the sides and add an upper lip and edge to hide the front and sides of the lid a bit more and prevent dust etc... Other than that its a great mod and should serve you well. I now have just the right amount of clearance between the print head and glass lid.
