Can anyone tell me what is causing jagged and rough extrusion? I notice it a lot on the first layer, some prints fail because when the first layer switches to a different line there's a blob or a jagged edge, then the nozzle drags on it on the second layer and sometimes pulls it away from the bed killing my print. I've tried a few things to fix the issue, but here are my details if anyone has a recommendation:

Ender 3 V3 SE - Upgraded with Nebula pad and nebula cam, I've got a total of about 9-10 days worth of printing on it, and it's done great up until the last few prints. I'm using a .4 brass nozzle, and here are the things I've tried to fix the issue:

1) Attempted cleaning the nozzle using the supplied needle - no effect.

2) Replaced the nozzle with a new .4 nozzle provided in my original purchase - no effect

3) slightly tightened the extruder tension screw thinking it was under-extruding at times - no effect

4) Auto -leveled the bed many times, auto Z axis leveling, manual adjustment of Z axis up and down - no real effect

5) Replaced TFE tube with a Capricorn tube from Creality thinking it maybe had a jam or some plastic built up between the nozzle and the tube. Tube looked good but replaced it anyway since it should be able to handle more heat down the road anyway. - No effect

6) Tried slowing speeds, tried increasing speeds - no real effect.

7) Adjusted retraction quite a bit. - no real effect.

I'm probably dancing around the problem. I do have a new hotend I picked up from creality (exact replacement) that I was going to upgrade to a bi-metal heatbreak and a capricorn tube and swap it out but have not done that yet. I'm missing something I'm guessing. Finer prints fail constantly on the first layer because chunks or nubs are left at the end of extrusion (hard to explain but there's a couple of pictures). Surfaces of some prints look horribly jagged when they should be smooth. I've factory reset the nebula pad, made sure it's the latest firmware (not rooted - not sure I know how to do that yet), tried slicing with different slicers, etc.

I'm new to 3D printing and I'm evidently not understanding exactly what the problem is or the solution.

I realize in those lasts two the nozzle may have been too close to the bed, but it's almost like temps are not holding on the nozzle or there's a clog somewhere. If I raise the head up and extrude sometimes I'll see chunky extrusion on that yellow filament (elegoo PLA). The black I just did the Creality label with is Comgrow black PLA at around 210. I've also tried at 190, 195, etc. with the same results. Bed temps I've tried adjusting from 50-65 for PLA. Doesn't seem to change much.
