What can I say - A-1 job on this very modular exhaust solution for the K2. It should fit most persons needs for routing of the exhaust. All printed well; aside from me being a new 3D hobbyist and learning as I go with my first printer. This is my first project printed with PETG and TPU. Honestly, for a plug, I used Creality default profiles and Hyper filament with better than good results. Learning as I go, but did a decent job in quality. My situation started in that I wanted the pipes to go down and then connect to the cross piece to the hose adapter. The exhaust hose will be down low exiting to a window on the left side of the printer. Additionally, I wanted to leave ample space to get to the filament buffer that I have mounted on the back of the K2. Oh, and it had to "look nice" as it is out in the open next to my Kitchen. Other designers "solutions" found were very rigid in their design for a single setup/direction, or very bulky and unsightly. Again, needed to be professional and streamlined in looks AND function. Well... after printing and assembly, found that it would hit the window where I have the printer on a rolling tool cart (see pic). I then re-arranged the fittings to just go straight across (other pic), right-back to left-right and then a 45 to direct it downward for the exhaust hose connect and hang. I could have used a 90 here as well, to your preference. I will be using a 3inch/75mm hose, which is the size of the tubing of the manifold, routed to a window vent manifold. I chose the snap option for all of the parts and glad I did. They fit firmly, but not so bad that you can't pull them apart. I do give caution! - I was dry fitting the tubes to the manifold and ended up breaking the manifold in half trying to pull it apart - flexed the manifold just a little too much; ended up having to print a second one ;) It gets 100% stronger once it is bolted to the K2 back panel. No concerns for future damage when disconnecting the tubes form the manifold. With the snap option, it gives me the flexibility to change it up if the printer location moves and exhaust routing needs are different. The gasket is almost a must - it made the alignment of the 3-port base SO EASY. Align the gasket to the holes (put a flashlight under the K2 backplate to find the holes easier, an tape in place. Then put in all the screws into the manifold - slightly snug fit in my printing so they stayed put - and plop it onto the gasket with the now easily found mounting holes. Happy printing and may no bad smells or bad fumes be in your future! Wish List: -A waste shoot extension that will wrap around the printer to the right side and dump into a shorter bucket next to the printer. The extension could use the same bucket attachment slot, and perhaps a magnet to hold it in place on the back of the K2 for strength. -A tubing snap-to-snap converter/gender bender, and while at it, one for the glue as well, you just never know ;)
