This is an early release / work in progres. The design has not yet been physically test printed due to printer issues, but has been carefully designed around proven geometries and standard tolerances.

Files are shared openly for community feedback and real-world testing prior to a fully tested release.

Overview

This project is a modular filament storage system designed to be scalable, stable and easy to expand over time.

The system consists of inividual modules that connect using dedicated connectors, allowing you to build horizontally and vertically without relying on long through-rods.

The goal is a solid, long-term storage solution, rather than a lightweight quick print.

Key Design Features

- Modular and stackable so you can build as small or large as needed

- Dedicated connectors between modules

- Rod system with anti-rotation profile for improved spool stability

- Rods insert halfway into connectors for easy expansion

- Designed for 1kg filament spools (200mm x 70mm)

- Optimized for strength and rigidity, not ultra-fast printing

This design prioritizes stability and long-term use, meaning print times are intentionally higher than minimal spool holders.

Printing Notes (Preliminary)

Recommended starting points based on slicing and design intent (not physically testet yet):

- Layer height: 0.2 mm

- Walls/Perimeters: 4

- Infill: 15-20% (Gyroid or Cubic)

- Supports: Not required

- Material: PLA or PETG

Feel free to experiment and adjust settings as needed
