I was looking for a chance to build a night-light using transparent and found a great model to use in this Totoro from Studio Ghibli’s "My Neighbour Totoro".This was printed on my Creality Ender-3 V3 SE (a fantastic Christmas present) using SUNLU clear transparent 1.75mm PLA. I used a Raspberry Pi 4 running Octoprint to allow wireless access and timelapse recording.The model from[%5228466071]worked very well to print with no supports and no infill. I first tried printing with 20% infill, which was not transparent enough. Second attempt used vase (spiral) mode, the result was good transparency but several flaws such as holes around the head and face and stringing across the ears. The best result was with no infill and normal printing. I had problems applying these settings in the Creality Cloud slicer as it did not seem to accept 0% infill. I had to download the STL file to my MacBook Air and found both Cura 5.6.0 and Creality Print 4.3.8 worked to set no infill. The attached gcode is from Creality Print with estimated print time of 1h44m. To operate as a night-light I used a three-LED battery-powered cupboard light shining through the base of the Totoro model. As a further development I intend to produce a version with a hole in the base and try inserting small LED “fairy lights”.Thank you to[%5228466071]for an excellent model.
