Modeled as a colored scale model kit and is printable on most 3d printers either whole or split hull and used for display, wargame, novel electronics platform or adapting for RC.

History

The USS Trigger (SS-237), a Gato-class submarine commissioned in 1942, was a formidable vessel of the U.S. Navy during World War II, renowned for its significant contributions in the Pacific Theater. Equipped with a robust design featuring a 311-foot length, 27-foot beam, and a submerged displacement of 2,424 tons, it carried 24 torpedoes, six forward and four aft torpedo tubes, and a 3-inch deck gun, achieving speeds of 20 knots surfaced and 9 knots submerged. Its advanced sonar and radar systems enhanced its combat effectiveness. Historically, Trigger completed 11 war patrols, sinking 18 enemy ships totaling 86,552 tons, earning 11 battle stars and three Presidential Unit Citations for its fifth, sixth, and seventh patrols. Notable actions include sinking a Japanese destroyer in 1943, damaging multiple merchant vessels, and rescuing a downed pilot off Formosa in 1944. Tragically, Trigger was lost with all 89 crew members during its 12th patrol in March 1945, likely sunk by Japanese forces in the East China Sea, cementing its legacy as a "Galloping Ghost of the Japanese Coast."
