Source link : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2830892 Summary I finally got around to designing a spool holder for the CR-10 that mounts on the top bar, which is essential if you have used my previous direct drive extruder (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2735674) or one of the many others that have emerged since I did mine. Nothing too earth shattering here, just a regular spool holder with the option to mount a the filament detector on the front. Note that mounting the filament sensor will require either an extension cable or the skill to cut the existing sensor wire and solder in an extension yourself. If you extend the existing cable you can neatly run the cable inside the rubber tubes that fit into the vertical slots on the rail (see photos). I also added an existing connector at the bottom of the frame to allow for quick disconnect of the sensor if I ever need to move my printer. Print Settings Printer: Creality CR-10S Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 15%, but doesn't matter Notes: You'll need either a M3x8mm screws or CA glue to attach the filament detector mount. and a couple of M3x8mm screws to hold the detector cover. When screwing the spool shaft in, the longer thread goes into the mount and the shorter thread is for the the holder nut. When adding the hold too the top rail just loosen the two screws holding the thread Z-axiz shaft (they are the two on the back) and carefully slide the shaft and mount out of the rail. Slide the spool holder onto the rail, then screw the z-axis rod back into the top rail. Note if you have a CR-10 rather than a CR-10S you can pop the end cap off the opposite end of the top rail and slide the holder on without having to pull the z-axis shaft.
