Source link : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2797174 Summary This filament spool holder makes sure your filament spool is rotating smooth and concentric. It is printed 2 times and each part is inserted into one side of the hole of the filament spool. Then, a rail is inserted through the 2 smaller holes provided by the filament holder. The rail and the holder itself must be provided separately. This part was made for the ANET A6/A8 filament holder but it can be used for others, too. Project files for Creo Parametric are provided for customization. The diameter of the part should be suitable for most filament spools. But the diameter of the rail could be different depending on your setup. The other long holes in this part are just there to save up weight/material and to make it look cooler. Print Settings Printer: ANET A6 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: Specific print settings aren't that important. However, I would recommend an infill density of at least 15-20% to provide stability How I Designed This Measurements I took measurements of the diameter of the hole of a typical 3D printing filament spool (~=67mm) and of the diameter of the rail from the (imperfect) filament holder (~=9.3mm). I made up the rest of the measurements in my head since they aren't really important. 3D modelling I used Creo Parametric 2.0 to model this part (The .prt file is included in this thing). The long holes for material conservation were just placed anywhere. Printing I used the ANET A6 printer with Cura 3.0 to print this part. Material: white PLA (1.75mm diameter, 190-230°C) Settings: Layer height: 0.2mm Speed: 60mm/s Number of slower layers: 5 Infill density: 20% Build plate adhesion type: Brim Brim width: 5mm Printing temperature: 200°C Build plate temperature: 60°C Flow: 100%
