Oh boy where do I start. This app:- intent, I’ll go with ok. Installed it in Jan, it couldn’t find much less connect to the printer(even after scanning the qrcode), no matter what I did. It’s now March, I purchased both the camera and the external wifi box in Feb. But something strange you say. Still cannot add the wifi box. For a week been seeing the printer network show up on my list of wifi, so I gave it another shot (it also came up with Bluetooth, which I thought only the pro version (CR10 smart) came with). I was able to connect and join the 2.4g wifi I created for it. That was about 2hours. Now the app shows the printer off line and I cannot reconnect. I removed the printer and have been trying again for 2 hrs to reconnect. This is being sold as a budget alternative to octoprint. I would say it’s not. I didn’t buy the printer with advertised wifi, to then have to buy another wifi solution that is also sold as will work, but neither solution works. So so far definitely not budget friendly. Budget friendly when the solution works but it does not. I think I will suffer through the cost of a raspberry pi and the pain of setup to not have to bother with this. Great printer, but the add ons do not work. Update your software to unlock the box from the cloud app or one should have the ability to connect the printer to your home wifi network or over Bluetooth with much more ease. Btw have not been able to locate the printer via Bluetooth either. I paid for a feature I cannot use. Then to add insult, to the injury, the additions are also in the trash pile. I will be uninstalling the app. And binning both the camera and the wifi box, unless I can us the camera without creality cloud, which judging by all of this I probably won’t be able to. So thanks and at the sametime no thanks, because now it’s gonna be another 200 dollars to get something I already paid for 2x already. Both in buying a machine with wifi (that does not work) and having to also purchase an external wifi box(that also does not work).
