Control Multiple 3D Printers with Creality Cloud

Today was a very exciting day for the Creality Cloud team! With another new release on Creality Cloud web, we’re so excited to say that you can manage and control multiple 3d printers at the same time, just on a single page. There’s an excellent choice that you use the Creality Cloud app or web to control a 3D printer. But what if you’ve got two printers? Or 20?

Perhaps many of you use OctoPrint to set up remote printing, but it still lacks support for simultaneous printing unless the printer is working on a Pi. And adding more printers will always require more resources. With this release, we accomplished the possibility of running multiple printers without any frustrating setups on a PC, lowering the threshold of 3D printing, and making it accessible to everyone.

What’s New

Dashboard workbench for your prints. Add your printers on the Creality Cloud app and connect them to networks via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Login to your account on the Creality Cloud website, navigating to “Workbench” to synchronize the device information.

The workbench provides you with a dashboard that demonstrates all print status of your printers, performing print jobs, and statistics for filament usage and print time recording, to help you control and monitor your printers in real-time on a web page.

Manage your printers with a printer group. Create a printer group to manage your printers. We see our device-adding database is rapidly increasing every day with new users, makers, and professionals. Some of you may get frustrated about the messy disordered devices. In this new version, we allow you to create a group, similar to a folder, to manage, organize, and sort out your printers via an online page–without ever opening any software.

Create print jobs and monitor your print via camera. Create print jobs when you are about to print. Choose sliced files on Creality Cloud or from your local computer, then select an idle device you want to print with.

In this print job, you can check the printing status of each device. You add another sliced file or change the number of copies to print while printing.

Select a device-matching rule for your print. To ensure your model files goes well to print, we make three device matching rules for your sliced files in case of any possibility of print failure: Strictly Matching, System Automatically Matching, and Specify A Printer to print. By choosing Strictly Matching, your print will strictly follow the size of the sliced file must match the machine model. And the System Automatically Matching will prioritize matching the printer type for sliced files with the printer type for printing. If not matched, the system will match again according to the size of the sliced file. Or you can make a command to specify a default printer for the sliced files to print.
