Ender-3 Pro, fan forced air convection cooling. The goal of this design here is to cheaply, and relatively easily give my ender 3 pro the ability to run in a high temp enclosure. I picked this system over liquid cooling because it is cheaper, easier, and much lighter. The silicone tubing was purchased off amazon for around $10, and the fans were some I had on hand. The smaller 5015 makes 8cfm with 14mm H20 of static pressure, cooling the hotend. The larger 97mm fan makes 25.4cfm with 25.4mm H20 of static pressure, cooling the DD mounted stepper. I measured the temp on my chimera clone's heatsink at 57c with E0 at 305c, the bed at 140c and the chamber at 47c. The temp on the stepper motor casing was 52c in the same environment with a 450ma vref. On the note of sound I measured 56dB from 1m away with both fans running at full blast. I imagine this idea could be easily, and cheaply implemented for printing warp-free ABS parts. Since ABS prints at a much lower temperature a quieter fan could be used for the hotend. Given that Stratasys's patent expired a couple weeks ago this setup would only be required for a hotend, and I believe that it is absolutely perfect for that application. Of course this setup is not without flaws, I would probably have to get stronger fans in order to use it in a <80c chamber, and the fans are loud. But those are relatively minor flaws in comparison to what this setup allows me to achieve. The part that was printing is pure PC, and currently I am printing large pure PC parts with minimal warping and without extra bed adhesives. On a note of safety, I am sure most of you have noticed that my enclosure is made out of cardboard, I do plan to eventually make an enclosure out of mineral wool board with plywood framing. However that is expensive and I'm a junior in highschool with no time for a job. It'll come eventually though. Overall I believe that this is a very powerful setup that could be added to an enclosed printer to allow for cheap high temp 3D printing. Thank you for taking t
