@Muppet365: I honestly believe that 3D Printing can be life-changing. I grew up with Star Trek and many of the gadgets in Star Trek were what dreams are made of. Remember the replicator. Well 3D printers are replicators, albeit slower and a bit clumsier but you can print pretty much anything you can imagine. In time I do not doubt that 3D printers will get faster, less clumsy, and even easier to use.

@Bossednl: Everyone should know that 3D printing needs a lot of adjusting and tinkering. Too many people think it is just as easy as printing a document.

@Josué Escalante Ochoa: Everyone should level their bed every time they print. also, you can edit an STL file to create an offset wall to save material in long-time printing work.

1. make contact with other makers for questions

2. don't always follow 1 sets of instructions (they aren't created equally)

3. DON'T be afraid to reach out for additional advice

4. ALWAYS be kind to other makers no matter how old or new they are to 3D printing

5. remember all your safety rules

6. check dates on articles/videos (not all articles have updated links)

7. if it's not broken, don't fix it

@Drokuh: Everyone should know that 3D printers need maintenance! It doesn't matter if it's a cheap one or an expensive one... they all need regular maintenance to get good quality prints every time.

@GameOverDude: Don't be afraid to learn a CAD program. start with simple shapes and soon you'll see the possibilities are endless and you're limited to only your imagination! You'll be making parts to fix broken things or enhance what you already have!

@HPSSPECIALTIES: 3d printing isn't like paper printing, meaning slicer settings, and printer settings both need to be done, if your new watch videos ask questions before you start, otherwise you'll find yourself in a bind "failed prints" generally it's something very simple, a setting is incorrect... So get as much knowledge as possible so you don't lose interest thinking it's a waste of time and money.
