I decided to do some upgrades to my Ender 5 Plus. I have had it now for about two months. I must confess this is the first Bolen-type printer I have that I did not convert from the start. The prints that came out of it were terrific for the first month, but it quickly started having issues. I found that it would frequently clog. This required running the hot end-up and then pulling the tube, this worked the first couple of times, but then I had t replace the line twice after that. I also noticed the stock tip was very soft, and I damaged it with a cleaning needle. So I did some research, and these are common issues with this printer. I found some excellent recommendations and ideas out there. In the end, I went with the Capricorn hi-temp Bolen tube. I went with the clear; I replaced the plastic Stock extruder with Creality's complete metal assembly. Lastly, I replaced the hot-end assembly with the Creality Spider. Since I had everything apart, I also took the time to rethink some cable management. I ran through the normal recalibration and leveling and am running some prints now. I will post some pictures of the build and the print results tomorrow. I am also having some fun with my new Halot One Plus, but I will save that story for tomorrow. Happy Printing.
