Suggestion: while I have been able to access my Octoprint (on Win10) that is connected to my Ender 3, I can't see my camera (mjpeg feed). My printer is also not identified (likely because I've compiled my own firmware to take into account upgrades). I recommend you create an octoprint option that can then connect to Raspberry Pi's or other devices running the software, and if the printer is not recognised, allow the user to define it (from a menu).
