I am looking to make a snap on brace for my canopy chair. What it will amount to is making rod ends for a 6.5 mm rod that attach to 10 mm canopy supports. I want them to be removable when collapsing the chair. My question is, how much opening should I allow to be able to "snap" the ends over the canopy supports? At worst, I will employ trial and error. At best I am looking for those that have done this before to chime in with advice. My hope is that this will help others looking to do similar projects.
