I printed this dragon model at 350% scale, measuring 1495mm long on my Crality CR-30 Printmill. Printing time was 126 hours and 56 minutes, consuming 2.75 kilos of filament. Although the printing process was extended beyond any print I have accomplished, the reward was well worth it. I chose to use my CR30 Printmill for this contest because I think it is an overlooked and ignored printer. Many printing enthusiasts will tell you that the CR30 is not simply a Printmill (printing parts etc), but can produce artistic prints as well. The biggest hurdle with the CR30 is the slicer, any CR30 owner will tell you that it is tough to get any of them to work. Creality Print works well and Creality Slicer is a very stable platform. After really diving into the slice I chose Creality Slicer for this print. The Model I chose "Articulated Dragon" I found here on Creality Cloud. It was available for free with coupons, and I have supplied a link to the designer's page@McGybeer for you to easily find it and print it yourself as for the quality of the model it is superb. The design not only allows for support-free printing, it also is aesthetically pleasing. All of the articulates are concealed very nicely by the well-sculpted body of the dragon. The Body design is also very well done with descending-sized links and scales. The model also prints very nicely on a Z-axis printer (printed a few for fun). I would recommend getting to know your slicer and printer before attempting to print this Dragon (have your CR-30 calibrated for ALL STEPS). Once you do I suggest trying a smaller print first, then I say go for it. I think it was well worth the time to print this model and would let any 3d Printing fan know the same. Printer Settings Nozzle .4 @45 degrees Nozzle Temp 215 Bed Temp 55 Speed 55mm/ supports NO Raft No Infill 10% I specifically used Creality Hyper Pla white. I chose this filament because of its almost flawless bed adhesion, and because of its quality (neatly wound, Dry, easy to spool, etc) There was no need to clean up the model after painting (another accolade to the model's design) Post print the model separated from the bed easily by simply advancing the Z axis slowly, even slower for the very end as the parts are smaller and you do not want to break the links. After bed separation, the model articulated perfectly in a 180-degree swivel left and right and about 40 degrees up and down. Please see the above about accolades....
