We are pleased to announce the recent launch of Creality Cloud 5.0. Upon its release, we gathered some valuable feedback concerning issues with G-code uploads, such as files not being found or printed, as well as printers not being detected. We would like to address these concerns and provide guidance for improved usage.

Prior to the release of the new version, our cloud-slicing feature operated under the principle that slice files could be printed as long as their size was within the device's print size. This allowed many users to successfully print their slice files by connecting their printers through the Creality Cloud app. And all your device and slice files will be shown in the app. While this method simplified the slicing and printing process, it did not guarantee optimal print quality.

To enhance the overall printing experience and ensure higher print quality, we have implemented revisions to the print rules within the built-in slicer. These adjustments require a strict match between the selected printer model during slicing and the actual printer model used for printing. This is essential to achieve the best possible print results. To assist you with this process, we have prepared a comprehensive operation guide for slicing problems that you may come across.

Sliced files with printer models: click on the Print button and add a corresponding printer

Sliced files with an unknown printer: click on the Print button and add the slices info and choose a printer for the file.

Sliced files with the customized printer: click on the Print button and go to the choose device page. It will display all online idle printers.

How to choose a printer for your slices?

Creality Printers: Add a printer (e.g: CR-10 Smart) and connect it to the network. Choose “Cloud Slices”, it will show you all the files you sliced for CR-10 Smart.
Custom Printers: Add a customized printer and connect it to the network. Choose “Cloud Slices”, it will show you all the cloud-slicing files
