Design Concept

I have tried these lids before and decided to make my own. Instead of having to store the leftovers in another container you can simply pop the re-useable printed lid on top and put it in the fridge. I have a few of these lids lying around my kitchen already.

There are two sizes most commonly used here in SA.

74mm diameter - 400g/410g cans. (Baked Beans, Tomato & Onion Mix etc.)

101mm diameter - 820g cans (Most dog food cans)

Use

These lids can be used for covering unused portions of canned food, while their flexibility allows easy application and removal. Ideal for pet food or canned beans, they help in reducing plastic waste by replacing disposable covers or foil.

Please note that these do not make the tin waterproof and is only for short-term storage, you know... (Consume within x days after opening and so on...). Do not freeze.

NOTE: In general, TPU is not considered food safe. Try and find food safe or FDA approved filament. I've never seen such TPU myself, so I use these at my own risk.

Use TPU... again... TPU.

3 Walls

100% infill

TPU Tip* - Print slow - I use 60mm/s. (See my screenshots above)

TPU Tip* - Direct Extrusion - Straight into extruder. TPU does not slide well through PTFE tubes or runout sensors.

TPU Tip* - Stringing very likely. Just cut them off with scissors
