Hello! I’m PengarouX, a forensic chemist by profession and a passionate 3D designer by obsession. My journey into 3D printing began in a very unexpected—and wonderfully transformative—way. I originally picked up a second-hand 3D printer from Facebook Marketplace, intending only to try a few simple prints as a casual hobby. Everything changed when a small plastic handle broke on one of my laboratory instruments at work.

The replacement component from the manufacturer cost nearly $400, which felt excessive for such a simple plastic part. Curious and determined, I opened Tinkercad and attempted to model a replacement myself. The part printed perfectly on the first try… and cost only 40 cents. That single print sparked everything that came afterward.

Realizing the potential, I encouraged my workplace to purchase a Creality Ender-3 V3 SE. Since then, I’ve designed and printed countless replacement parts, modifications for our laboratory equipment, and custom accessories for the lab. These solutions have saved us thousands of dollars, while pushing my creativity further than I ever expected. I was so impressed with the Ender SE that I soon upgraded my home setup to a Creality Ender-3 V3 KE, which truly opened the door for me to dive deeper into 3D modelling.

After receiving the KE, I discovered Creality’s Fishing Design Contest while exploring the Creality ecosystem. As someone who grew up fishing, I felt inspired to create something unique—the Branch Caster, a 3D-printed tool that turns any sturdy stick into a fishing rod. I submitted it just for fun… and ended up winning the contest. That moment completely hooked me on 3D design.

Since then, I’ve thrown myself into exploring every corner of the 3D design world—parametric modelling, 3D sculpting, functional engineering, and playful artistic concepts. My creations range from scientific tools inspired by my chemistry background to fun, stylized designs made simply to bring smiles to others. With every project, I challenge myself to try new techniques and create models that are both fun and functional.

On Creality Cloud, I design under the name PengarouX—a nod to my avatar, a hybrid penguin–kangaroo creature. It represents the spirit behind my work: inventive, fun, and a little bit unexpected.

Today, 3D printing is far more than a hobby for me. It’s a creative outlet, a technical challenge, and a way to build useful things that make life easier—and more enjoyable—for others.
