I’m Kirk, a designer and tinkerer who uses 3D printing to turn everyday ideas into joyful, functional objects.

I began my journey in 3D design by exploring modular systems and quick-to-print solutions, fascinated by how simple parts could create flexible tools. Over time, I taught myself parametric modelling and developed a style focused on clarity, utility, and adaptability.

My learning has been shaped by the printers I’ve used. I started with an Ender‑3 V2, which taught me the mechanics and maintenance of an open machine where every detail was visible. Later, I moved to a K1, enclosed, more refined, but still a teacher when I dismantled the extruder after a jam. Today I use a K2 Plus with the CFS system, a brilliant setup that keeps me on my toes and reminds me that every design is a dialogue with the machine.

Many of my designs began as experiments, ways to learn how to think in 3D printing, and for a long time, they never left my home office. Some were made for my two sons: simple props, toys, and playful tools that taught me how to balance durability with ease of printing. Now I’m working through what I would call a back catalogue, refining those ideas and sharing the pieces that feel genuinely useful, my way of giving back to the community that helped teach me.

I’m most proud of a design when it becomes a tool with a real purpose. For me, 3D printing is equal parts engineering and play, a constant learning experience where the 'what if' and 'why not' questions become something tangible.

As the design community keeps growing, I’m excited to contribute models that are practical, accessible, and quietly powerful - with just enough fun to remind us why we started printing in the first place.
