A message for amazon Ender3-v3 buyers. DONT GIVE UP you can fix the levelling problems yourself in less than an

hour if you are at all mechanically minded.

The tape in the photo was just to hold the springs and spacers when flipping over to attach them to the carriage

The unit I received had problems with the bed levelling bolts.

The connection cover puts 10mm of squash on the back left bolt and the front are bouncy and impossible to level.

What was worse was the missing washer and nut at the bottom of the heater plate causes the adjusting bolt to spin so

As a result you would turn and turn repeatedly and could not get the front corner to pull down level with the rest.

The fix is to put nuts and washers on the bottom of the heated bed and spacers to match the back corner so all are the same spring tension,

Tighten to half the spring compressed and then set the Z axis limit switch to this new height

After that leveling was a breeze, if you probe height with the nozzle and two sheets of paper to so the top onE slides easily for more precise feel

do this over the bolts so your not chasing around 30 times to get level.

Manually moving to coordinates X25-Z200 first then X200-Y200, then X200-Y25 and finishing at X25-Y25 when probing the height to set bed flat within 0.01 of the nozzle will work best as the plate pivots over the opposing bolt as you adjust magnifying error on opposing edge if measured there

Think of the plate see sawing over these points and you will see how that affects finding level.

Just trust me that measuring over those coordinates will be faster and more accurate than at the edge of the plate.

the two sheets of computer paper should measure around 0.02 so try to get the two sheets of paper sliding shim test with setting each to 0.02 on Z axis manually where paper just buzzes as you pull it at 0.02 and slides freely at 0.03 (The buzzing is the stepper motor vibrating against tiny side force)

That should have your nozzle at 0.00 perfectly flat. after only a few times around the 4 points.

I am presently halfway through Cinderwings crystal dragon with 20 speed 2mm thick walls roof and floor NO infill and minimal supports for a day and a half print

bed heat was 30 just to be more stable as room temp cycles and no fan first 4 layers

Also set Z hop and lift head on everything as head brushing across parts travelling knocked parts off bed first few tries.
