Beginning My Journey in 3D Printing I am completely NEW to this But have imagined a world of 3D printing since I heard of the printer creation. WOW I can make any kind of mini I want! Any kind! Anything!! WOW, and I can avenge those who could potentially be hurt! See.... I was a Property Manager at a little Condominium outfit in a little Rural town in No. Calif. I saw my tenants being OVER charged on this little "tiny" comb part that the Maintenance team was charging them an "entire ensemble" rather than just that "little comb" part (.03) USA cost in printing....yeah, and they charged them $125.00 for the ensemble! Long story short, 2 years later here I am. :). Madame 3D MiniMill.. I like it.... I love it, and I am learning soo much! And I have had my frustrations with my new printer.... She's a work horse, now, now that I got the gist of things.... But, I just re-loaded the 'Creality Print' software, Not the Slicer. See I reformatted my iMac last night got a clean fresh work board and decided to try the Print software since my first attempt was kind of "ehhh?" WOW, WHAT! This is Cool! I love it! And they provided a small manual for overview....aww Thank You.....if you know how to slice, this will be kind of redundant for you possibly BUT if you are NEW! WOW WOO HOO you can see what the pattern REALLY LOOKS LIKE BEFORE YOU PRINT. So cool is the preview and I don't know what you did in the last month Creality but KUDOS to you! Because I trialed and errored on the slicer, I just about understand and know how to create a solid well built print with its weight, feel, and overall cosmetic appearance. I am proud of what I have learned and I get what the print needs in order it to be solid. That said now on to creating my own. I was having trouble with the rotation in Creality Slicer. I went to Github and see it has been crashing a lot, guess what for the last month! I have owned my printer since August 1st, Or July 28th to be exact. It wasn't me! Thank goodness it wasn't my machine, I thought I bought a dud, a POS and I was disappointed. Only thing I can say about mine now is, I want or need to print BIGGER items, (the miniaturist?) I know but I need to print bigger and my bed is too small ;( now that disappoints me, I can't believe I didn't buy the larger unit that I first wanted... My word of advice is... If you want the bigger one at first thought, BUY it you will find the need! BIGGER, Faster, and does a lot more stuff! heehee, seriously, I want to print a shower shelf and I can't because my bed is too small. Enjoy! You're going to have lots of FUN!! Happy Trails to you!! Madame~ PS I would upload a couple of my prints but, they are all on my drive and my printer is printing via serial cable and I just don't have the time at the moment. But I printed a complete Chess Set, created my own Soap Dish, began working in Vase Mode as people say but don't be confused! The setting is Spiral Conical, I believe, and no where does it say 'Vase Mode' (I guess it is a 'Gucci ' thing?). Vase mode, really? Yes they should have named the setting Vase Mode, but don't confuse everyone... and stop being so secretive about settings and such, its going to be out sooner or later, and I have almost acquired most of the knowledge. And I am working with AI now, lucky me, I work for Amazon and AWS is providing me training for free on their Code Whisperer, OPEN TO THE PUBLIC people head on over and I will see you in Class!
