Hello, 3D printing community! Although I'm not a professional writer or influencer, I've fallen in love with using my #Creality Ender 3-S1 printer. I've wanted to get into 3D printing for about a decade but always made excuses not to buy a printer. Finally, I purchased one from the Creality website in July and received it on August 1st. I've printed dozens of things so far, but I designed my first item today. I designed a planter this morning in TinkerCAD. It's something I think we all need to know how to do. Especially if you plan on replacing broken parts from weed eaters and other specialty tools. Although this isn't a ground-breaking design, it is my design and it's the first of many, I think. I've only painted one other thing I printed and that was a Minion planter for my wife. Yes, she digs the minions. They make her giggle. I thought this planter design would look pretty cool painted as well. If I can track down my Iwata airbrushes, then I'll have at it. If not, I'll paint it by hand. I also plan on entering this planter in the contest too. There are a ton of hoops you have to go through to enter so here I type. And to be honest, I actually had fun writing this as well. Maybe some people will be able to relate, and maybe some won't. No matter, I'm a newbie and I'm enjoying everything 3D printing has to offer. Even when I had issues, it was fun to track down the solution to the problem.
