In the .3mf file included in the project there are the parts of the model that use the CFS multifilament system and those that do not use it.

PineDesk Hideaway is a multifunctional pineapple-shaped desk organizer that combines practicality, design, and mechanical engineering into a single 3D printable object.

The leafy top is connected to the body through a fully 3D-printable hinge and opens to reveal a spacious compartment for storing pens, pencils, markers, scissors, and other stationery supplies.

A second hidden storage compartment is located in the lower section behind the front door. Instead of being pulled out by hand, the drawer is operated by a fully mechanical linkage. Rotating the chimney moves an internal lever that is connected to the center of the drawer by a small pivot pin, converting rotational motion into linear motion. Guided by two side rails, the drawer smoothly slides forward when opening and returns to its original position when closing.

The entire model has been designed for reliable FDM printing while combining aesthetics, functionality, and an enjoyable user experience.

🧩 Design Concept

The goal of this project was to create a desk organizer that offers much more than simple storage.

Every visible element has been designed to serve a practical purpose while preserving a clean and recognizable appearance. The leafy top functions as the lid of the main compartment, while the chimney becomes the control used to operate the hidden drawer.

Inside the model, a lever connected to the drawer through a pivot pin converts the chimney's rotational movement into linear motion. Supported by two side guide rails, the drawer opens and closes smoothly and precisely, creating a satisfying mechanical interaction.

The result is a functional desk organizer that combines thoughtful design, mechanical engineering, and everyday usability in a single 3D printable model.
