I was lucky enough to be sent the new CR-Scan lizard 🦎 to try it out and be able to give some feedback to creality about it. I’m a Mac OS user so there is no working or functional software for it. On the Creality website you can download it but it’s states it won’t work until May 22. So from conversation with Creality it’s expected to be available with the first scanners being sent out in April 22. So I decided to install windows on my MacBook to be able to at least test it out. Was a much easier process than I envisioned and not sure why I hadn’t done it any earlier. So my first impressions of the lizard kit is it’s feels well made and some good R&D has gone in to it. All the cables from the scanner feel well made and robust enough to not be worried about them. The scanner is a lot heavier than I thought it was going to be but I like the design of it. I do find the tripod a little to small to hold the scanner at any height as I found it falls over now and again. The scanner on powering up has fans inside it so it’s important to not cover these when putting any type of cover over them, the case it comes in is nice and feels like it can protect the equipment in there with day to day carrying in it. I’ve only done a few quick scan but been impressed so far. Will get some more time with it this week and give some more feedback about it. If anyone has any questions about it or would like to know something please ask away
